Department History

The beginning of medical laboratory technology program was in the year 1400H / 1980G where it was established under the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences. In 1425H / 2004G, the program was transformed into a scientific department under the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences.

The field of Medical Laboratory Technology is the basic pillar of all medical services of any health facility. The department has provided well-trained graduates at the highest levels and international standards under the supervision of highly qualified academic professors that graduated from the world's top universities.
